Step1.a memory test

1)T: Good morning, class. Do you still remember my English name?

S: Yes. It’s Sophy.

T: Great. You have a good memory. Do all of you have a good memory? Ok, let’s have a memory test.

1) check the words

T: There’re more words on your book. Turn to P12.Look at Part 1.Check the words you know. Are there any new words you don’t know? (ask 3 Ss)

2) ask 3 Ss to read the words

T: Good, you know all these words very well. But do you know what this is in English?(point to a mouse)

S: A mouse.

T: How do you spell it?

S: M-O-U-S-E.

Step3. write new words

1) T: You may know some other new words. Write them in your notebook.

2) group work:

T: Share the words you’ve written with the others in your group of 4. The head of each group write down all the new words on a piece of paper.

3) A competition: “Who knows the most words?”

T: Now I’d like the head of 4groups to come here and write down the new words on Bb. See who knows the most words.

T: Could you help me find the owners of these things? Now I’d like 1S to come here and guess the owners of these things. For each thing, you have only 3 chances. Ask and answer like the model. Who’d like to try?

Step5.Just for fun

T: You all like playing games very much. But do you like acting? Good, let’s have a competition “Who’s the best actor/actress?” There’s a conversation at the bottom of P12. Act it out emotionally. You can change some of the words in this conversation.
