I’ve loved my mother’s desk since I was just tall enough to sit above the top of it. Mother sat writing letters. Standing by her chair, looking at the ink bottle, pens, and white paper, I decided that the act of writing must be a most wonderful thing in the world.

How to Keep Safe

It’s important for teenagers to keep safe all the time. But how can we keep safe? Here is some of my advice. First, we should be careful when we make friends, especially through the Internet. Second, we should keep our personal information secret and not tell strangers our address or telephone number. Third, we shouldn’t open the door for strangers when are alone at home. Fourth, we should call the police if we are in danger. Last but not least, we should follow the traffic rule. We may get hurt or lose our lives if we don’t.

That’s all. Thank you.

Text10

Jack lives in a small town in England. He always stayed in his own country for holidays. But last year he thought, “I’ve never been outside my country. All my best friends have been to Russia, and they all said it was nice. I’m going there this year.”

So he went to Russia and stayed there for a few days. One day, he went out for a walk. In England, people drive on the left, but in Russia they drive on the right. Jack forgot about this. While he was crossing a busy street, a car almost knocked him down. Jack stood there for a few seconds, full of fear. Then he came to himself and said. “Where am I?” An old man selling maps ran to Jack at once and said, “Maps of the city, sir.”
