Book Report of Jane Eyre

After reading Jane Eyre , I just want to talk something about Jane's aunt -Mis Reed.

At the beginning of the novel ,Jane describe that 'I was feeling miserable because Bessie ,the nursemaid ,was always scolding me.All the time I knew I was different from my cousins' . And the other meaning Jane want to convey us is that she is not respected in the family ,say nothing of gaining love from her aunt- Mis Reed.

However , Jane , a girl just ten years old ,how could it be for Mis Reed don't pay any attention to her ,even hate? Anyhow , it always has reasons .

First of all , her unfairly treatment must be relate to her parents .Her father is a poor vicar.When he marry her mother ,Miss Jane of Gateshead , the Reed family are so angry that they disinherit her.And both of them died of an illness only a year after their wedding. At the time , people in British society still keep some deep-rooted feudal thoughts. It would never be agreed for a lady from a well-known family to marry a man who comes from underclass.So, The Reed family is shamed of this , of course including Mis Reed.

Second , Jane has the desire of freedom ,which genetic from her mother . Leaving The Reed family to Lowood school , leaving Lowood school to be a governess , leaving Master Rochester to Moor House ,and leaving St. John to find her true lover , for she just wanna to pursue freedom and be a master for herself . Although ,Jane is young ,she has little common with other children , maybe it make Mrs Reed feel scared , and even she said Jane is a girl with wicked heart.

Mis Reed is selfish, no sympathy in most of our eyes. She to Jane is what ghost to human,'however hard I had tried to please Mis Reed in the past , she always thought the worst of me ' .On the contrary , in my personal perspective , she is a poor woman.

You can image a woman who is as old as a mother , but ridiculous , she should hate a girl who is as old as a daughter . What's more , in the rest of her life , hating Jane is never be forgotten ,and it even become a habit .

when Mrs Reed scold Jane , and Jane said what would uncle Reed say to her if he were alive. Obviously, these word remind her that she has broken her promise to take good care of Jane .She smack Jane's face and left without a word . After many years passed , before she die , she finally confess what she has done wrong . I don't think she really recognize her mistakes , just because of her husband who she will meet with ,and pretending she has taken up with Jane already , for go to heaven .

As for her three children , spoiled .Jane said" Her illness got worse in the next few days .I spend some time every day looking after her,and the rest of time with my cousins,listening to their plans for the future . Eliza was planing to join religious community after her mother death ,but Georgiana was helping to stay in London with relations,to see new fashion and go to all parities.It was quite clear they had no real feeling for their mother ,and almost looking forward to her death.And after her died ,no one at Gateshead cried for her."

NO pains ,no gains. How can she has the right to get the love from other people ? What a bad and poor woman! But , I think this ending is the best ending for her.
