Course Description:
Traditional Chinese Realistic Portrait Painting Facsimile is a main professional course which examines the fine brushwork of traditional Chinese portrait painting techniques, materials and aesthetic evaluation.By copying the traditional works, students are to grasp the characteristics of fine brushwork realsitic style portraits, artistic characteristics and basic painting steps, including organization of lines, rendering, shading and the overall knowledge. Students are to be skilled at hook lines, sub-dye, rendering , cover dyeing techniques and other techniques and procedures. By understanding the unique aesthetic characteristics of Chinese fine brushwork realistic style portrait paintings,students can lay a solid foundation for further creation. Practice Teaching: This course is to guide students to observe and analyze the ancient masterpieces of fine brushwork realistic portrait paintings. Complete a copy of “Shinvzhanhua”
Course assessment: Course final results = usual time achievements * 30% + final exam results * 70%; Usual results are from attendance, the completion of copying;
